Woman jumps off 5th floor of residential building in Hyderabad, dies

A 23-year-old woman died by suicide after jumping off the fifth floor of a residential building in Hyderabad. Authorities have confirmed that she died on the spot.
The incident, which took place on Monday at the Giri Shikhar Apartments in the city’s Ramnagar area, was caught on camera, showing onlookers rushing to the victim’s aid.
According to a police officer, the woman was a divorcee and the reason behind the victim taking the drastic measure remains unclear.
The officer added that no case was registered as the incident is considered a suicide without external involvement.
The police conducted a post-mortem examination, and her body was handed over to her family for the last rites.
In a similar incident earlier this month, a 45-year-old man attempted to end his life by hanging at his residence in Secunderabad. However, police officers from Gopalapuram Police Station’s timely rescue saved him.
The police reportedly received a tip-off from an unidentified person.
While patrolling near Panchavati Lodge, the police were informed that Sravan Kumar had attempted to hang himself at his residence. Officers rushed to the address, broke open the door, and found Kumar barely breathing.
The police immediately performed CPR and transported him to Vijaya Health Services in Secunderabad. Kumar’s condition is stable.
